A number of temporary Visitor visa options exist. Your country of passport will influence which visa option you are eligible for.

TOURIST 600

Under the Visitor visa stream, you can visit Australia temporarily for tourism purposes and/or to spend time with family and friends.

eVISITOR 651 and ETA 601

Electronic Visitor visa options are available to certain passport holders. These are time and cost-efficient options.

WORKING HOLIDAY 417 and WORK & HOLIDAY 462 

These visas are designed for persons aged between 18 to 30 years of age (and up to 35 years of age for citizens of some countries) to travel to and work in Australia for up to 12 months, with employment with any one employer permitted for 6 months only. 

A number of recent incentives introduced under this program allow extended work and stay opportunities.

PANDEMIC EVENT (COVID-19) 408 

This visa was introduced to assist visa holders in Australia, and Australian businesses, as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Please know that the Pandemic Event (COVID-19) 408 visa closed to new applications from 2 September 2023. The program will remain open to existing 408 visa holders until the program fully closes by 1 February 2024.
